Commercial Bank and Trust Company announces new Senior Credit Officer.

Union City, TN.  Jody Kizer has been promoted to Senior Credit Officer of Commercial Bank and Trust Company (CBTC).

“As Commercial Bank and Trust Company has grown in West Tennessee, we have seen the opportunity to expand our leadership,” said Mott Ford, Chairman and CEO.  “We have been fortunate to recruit and retain talented and experienced bankers that make CBTC successful.  Since Jody Kizer joined Commercial Bank and Trust Company in 2012, he has been a tremendous asset to the Union City team and the clients and community they serve.  Jody’s new role will give us the opportunity to utilize his experience and leadership across our entire network as he works directly with our Chief Credit Officer to optimize the ability of our lenders to provide the best solutions for our clients.  We look forward to Jody’s continued impact on the success of Commercial Bank and Trust Company.” 

Mr. Kizer is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin where he majored in Marketing.  Jody began his banking career in 1995.  He joined Commercial Bank and Trust Company in 2012 as Vice President and Loan Officer.  Prior to this promotion, Jody served the Union City Market as Senior Vice President & Credit Officer.  Jody is a graduate of the Southeastern Schools of Commercial Lending, Advanced Commercial Lending, Consumer Lending, and the Southeaster School of Banking.  He was also a director of the Tennessee Bankers Association’s Young Bankers Division.  In addition to his work with Commercial Bank and Trust Company, Jody serves as the Chair of the Board of Commissioners for Union City Housing Authority, is a Director on the Board for the Northwest Tennessee Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and he is a member and former Director of the Union City Rotary Club.  Jody also serves with the First Baptist Church of Union City on the Investment Committee.

Jody is married to his high school sweetheart, Tracey (Towater), a nurse practitioner.  They have two children, Emily and Pierce, who are currently attending the University of Tennessee.
