The Memphis Drum Shop
30 years ago, Memphis gained a notable reputation in the music industry. The business opened its doors in a big city fitted for talented musicians. Memphis Drum Shop may have a local storefront, but their high-end clientele and extensive inventory are what make them internationally known. With a location in the heart of Midtown Memphis, Memphis Drum Shop serves our local music community and the world with its extensive and distinct collection of percussion instruments and accessories.

From Journey drummer, Steve Smith, to Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer, Chad Smith, Memphis Drum Shop is the destination for the best drummers in the business. Visitors come from around the world to see the shop for themselves and tour the cymbal room, a thermostatically controlled sanctum that is by invite only. The cymbal room, also known as the Memphis Gong Chamber, holds the largest collection of gongs and cymbals on display in the world. World recognition does not stop the shop from appreciating their roots in Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis has provided the drum shop with a central location and a deep, strong character special to the city. The local community of Memphis has become a leading company in music and more specifically, the drumming community across the globe. The Memphis Drum Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and hosts several concerts every year as musicians from around the country come to Memphis to perform at this one-of-a-kind venue.
